The 5 best dog grooming spas in Edmonton will turn your dog into a pupstar!

Proven track record: I chose dog groomers that have been in the business for at least 5 years. I also made sure to include groomers who have excellent pet skills and sufficient experience in dealing with all sorts of breeds and coat types.

Service range: I chose spas that offer a wide range of services, such as bathing, trimming, nail cutting, teeth brushing, de-matting, and more. The more services they cover, the better.

Facilities and equipment: I chose dog spas that have clean and tidy workstations as well as bathing and grooming equipment that are regularly up to date.

Rates: I chose dog spas that offer competitive rates by comparing the local market prices and assessing if their service quality justifies the cost.

My dog is undeniably the most pampered member of our family, always stealing the spotlight during family dinners and park walks.

I used to think it was just her friendly nature, but a neighbour recently mentioned how well-groomed she is. That compliment made me proud, and I owe it all to regular visits to our dog groomer.

Dog groomers are real lifesavers, keeping my dog looking her best. If your dog could use a fresh look, here are the top dog grooming spas in Edmonton that I highly recommend!

How much do dog grooming spas in Edmonton cost?

Dog grooming spas charge $30 to $50 for haircuts or trims and between $15 and $25 for additional services like nail trimming, bathing, and teeth brushing.
Rates may vary depending on the coat type, breed, and size of your pet. The bigger your dog, the pricier the service!

If you’ve never given your dog an Ozone bath before, I highly recommend you take them to Oh My Dog Spa and Grooming. The service basically utilises hydro-massage and aromatherapy to help clean and calm down your dog, all the while using Ozone to kill bacteria, mould, and viruses in their fur.

In addition to baths, they offer de-shedding, grooming, de-matting, and hand stripping. I especially appreciate the hand stripping, as my dog gets anxious around electric razors.

The gentle, hands-on fur removal is a huge plus!

Their pricing is fair, with a full groom for a small breed starting at $78—well worth it for the care they provide. I noticed customer service is consistent in the two branches in the city.

While the Ozone bath is only available at the Mistatim Road branch, both locations have skilled groomers for all breeds, so I can visit either for basic grooming.

Pros

  • Has two locations in the city
  • Offers Ozone bath
  • Offers hand stripping

Cons

  • Ozone bath is only available in one branch

Work that exceeds expectations

“We had a great experience for our first time at the groomers and we will definitely be back! They exceeded my expectations, I was smiling from ear to ear when I picked Finnegan up. His haircut turned out so cute! I was worried about how he would do, and they said he was such a good boy, which made me feel at ease for future appointments! Thank you to the incredible staff! Highly recommend oh my dog spa.”

The prices are more than fair

“Love this place. I have 2 toy poodles and one morkie. A Maltese and a yorkie fabulous job from a to z. From grooming, they’re matted dirty Fur to cleaning their teeth. To clean their ears to making them smell fabulous more than impressed. It’s the only place I will take my dogs. The prices are more than fair.”

For an upscale dog grooming experience, The Posh Paw Pet Spa is one to consider. They offer detailed consultations before each treatment to ensure your pet is groomed exactly as you prefer.

With 15+ years of experience, their technicians expertly handle all dog breeds, coat types, and sizes, using luxury shampoos, top-quality products, and state-of-the-art equipment. I especially value their pet first aid training, which gives me peace of mind.

They offer luxury bath and grooming services, including nail trimming, deep coat conditioning, teeth brushing, creative colouring, and ear cleaning.

Rates start at $55 to $60 per hour, so costs can add up, especially for larger dogs. Combining grooming and bathing on the same day could easily break the budget.

If you want to schedule an appointment, you must do so at least a week in advance. The spa gets fully booked quickly!

Pros

  • Specialises in luxury grooming and bathing services
  • Offers detailed consultations before treatment
  • Been in the industry for over 15 years

Cons

  • Usually fully booked
  • Pricey

Attentive and gentle groomers

“Skye had a wonderful day at the Posh Paw Pet Spa! After being declined service at PetSmart saying she was too anxious to even clip nails, I was nervous to even try anyone else.

She had never been to the groomer before and needed a full wash, de-shed and trim.

I had seen Logan recommended many times in various Facebook groups so I decided to give her a try and she did not disappoint.

She said Skye was a bit nervous and hissy in the beginning but by the end she was loving the attention.

We will definitely be returning again!

Thanks so much!”

A safe and comfortable space for your dogs

“One of the best customer service and dog grooming services for the area. My dog is usually nervous and anxious when visiting most places. The ladies at Posh Paw help him to feel comfortable. He is so happy and excited after a visit. He loves his spa days. Would recommend for nervous small dogs.”

One of the major reasons why I recommend Priscilla’s Pet Emporium is that they’re not just a dog grooming spa. They also stock pet food and supplements, which is super convenient when I’m running low on supplies.

Their grooming services are comprehensive, offering everything from full grooming and bath packages to de-shedding, de-matting, and nail trims. They even cater to rabbits and guinea pigs, which is a rare find.

What I really appreciate is their crate-free, force-free grooming approach. I notice that my dog doesn’t bark nor does he seem anxious before and after the session.

While they accept walk-ins for services like nail trims, I’ve found it’s better to make an appointment to avoid long waits.

Their prices are reasonable, with small dog baths starting at $45 and full grooming for large dogs at $140.

However, extra fees can add up, like charges for trims over ½ inch and a dollar per minute for de-matting. Despite this, the impressive results make it worth the cost!

Pros

  • Has a pet store
  • Wide range of services and add-ons
  • Crate-free groping approach

Cons

  • Additional charges for long trims
  • Charges de-matting/brushing per minute

Reasonable prices and quality service

“Oh, they did such a beautiful doggy spa for Dixie. She’s been happy ever since and much less shedding in the house too. Very friendly and professional experience and reasonably priced. Thank you.!”

Sophie’s Pet Spa is a delightful spot for dog grooming, offering a full range of services for dogs from 10 to 100 pounds. They also do creative grooming, adding fun and safe splashes of colour to your dog’s fur, which is a unique touch I personally love.

The pricing is quite reasonable, with a full makeover for a 100 lb dog starting at $168, and every visit leaves the dogs looking fantastic.

What stands out to me is the personalised care at Sophie’s. Despite its smaller size, the spa delivers one-on-one attention, and you can see how the groomers genuinely bond with each pet, especially the puppies and anxious dogs like mine.

My friends with dogs of all sizes rave about their experiences, with pets even developing favourite groomers.

Since the spa is quite popular, booking at least a week in advance is advisable. If there’s a wait, your pets can enjoy the playground out back while they wait.

Pros

  • Best for puppies or anxious dogs
  • Has a playground for dogs

Cons

  • Limited availability
  • Limited grooming space

Clients are happy with the results

“Pepper has been coming here since she was a puppy, they usually take about 1-1.5hours to complete her groom and I’m always blown away by how soft her fur is she is when I pick her up. Theres a small grass patch behind the building and a little store for locally made goods inside. Highly recommend!”

“Love this groomer! You definitely need to find one who actually understands what you want in regard to your dog. However, I’ve never had a bad experience here. Jessica is my favourite!!”

If there’s a dog groomer that my parents have been visiting for years, it’s The Pampered Puppy. They’ve been in the business since 2005 and my parents have been going there to groom their dogs ever since.

One of the reasons why they keep going back there is that their groomers are internationally certified and have won multiple awards. This gives my parents peace of mind, knowing their dogs are in expert hands.

They also love that the spa offers daycare services, so it’s super convenient if my parents need to run errands.

Their spacious, custom-renovated facility has a warm and welcoming vibe that puts both me and my pets at ease.

The only downside is their website could use an update, and pricing isn’t as transparent as other places, so I recommend asking for a quote beforehand.

Pros

  • Been in the business since 2005
  • Internationally certified groomers
  • Has a dog daycare

Cons

  • Outdated website
  • Pricing

Super reasonable prices

“My dog saw Michelle, and I have never been so happy with a groom. The groomer spent a really long time earning her trust and making sure she felt comfy which is so important to us. Daisy is a very anxious girl and Michelle was amazing with her. I could tell that she treated her really well, and the groom looked amazing too. The price was also super reasonable especially considering how long she look helping Daisy feel comfortable. Thanks Michelle for curing our fear of grooming 💕”
