The Best Dog Daycares in Edmonton for Pawsitively Happy Pups and Fur Parents
Being a fur parent isn’t just belly rubs and cuddles. It’s also dealing with that gut punch of guilt when you leave for work, while your pet hits you with those heartbreaking puppy eyes.
That used to be us too. What changed? Well, we discovered dog daycares!
We rounded up the best options below, so you can stop worrying about your pup staring longingly out the window while you crush those job presentations or exams.
How much do dog daycares charge in Edmonton?
Daycare centers in Edmonton typically charge approximately $25 for a half-day visit (under 5 hours) and $42 for a full day (5 hours or more).
Keep in mind that prices may vary based on the daycare and the number of dogs.
The Second Pup

Address: 7030 2 Ave SW
Contact Details: +1 780-708-5486
Operating Hours:
- Mon to Fri – 7:30 am to 6 pm
- Sat to Sun – 8 am to 4 pm
For over 11 years, pet owners in Edmonton, including us, have been drawn to The Second Pup’s engaging daycare services.
What we really love is their method of grouping dogs by temperament, age, and size. Since we have smaller pups, this strategy lowers the chances of injuries or stress while still promoting socialization.
The variety of play areas is a major perk too. With sandpits, climbing structures, and more indoor and outdoor features, there’s something to match every pup’s play style.
However, one potential downside is the spaying/neutering requirement. We’re not saying it’s bad, but while it promotes better behavior and helps control overpopulation, it’s a deal breaker for owners who haven’t spayed or neutered their pets yet.
Moreover, drop-off and pick-up hours aren’t the most flexible, and daycare services on weekends or public holidays are off the table.
Nothing Short of Amazing
“My pup started attending daycare a few weeks ago and loves it! She is always so excited when she arrives and happy and tired when she comes home. The staff are nothing short of amazing and do a wonderful job at catering to all the pups different needs and updating on anything significant that happens during the day. I feel so lucky to have found such a wonderful place to take Ms. Chlo!”

Enriching for the Dogs
“This is our pup’s absolute favourite place. The amazing space is one thing, but the attentive and caring staff are what make The Second Pup so much more than a daycare. Plus, all of the extra activities are so enriching for the dogs!”

Park Doggy Daycare & Grooming

Address: 8710 15th St #120
Contact Details: +1 780-499-6403
Operating Hours:
- Mon to Fri – 6:30 am to 6 pm
- Sat – 7:30 am to 5:30 pm
- Sun – 7:30 am to 9 am, 4 pm to 5 pm
Most pet parents we chatted with said their pups came home wiped out and wagging after a day at Park Doggy. No surprise there. With nearly 4,000 sq ft of rubber flooring and a 1,000 sq ft outdoor playground, playtime is the name of the game here.
If overstimulation has you stressing, relax. They follow a well-designed break schedule, and a pro handler supervises all the fun.
On the downside, they don’t accept certain breeds, like rottweilers or pit bulls, no matter their training (dog training edmonton) or history. Plus, virtual tours aren’t an option, meaning you’ll have to physically visit, which isn’t ideal for those swamped with work.
Back to the pros, they offer a heap of grooming (dog grooming edmonton) services, from ear cleaning and nail trimming to fully-tailored makeovers. And if you need a late pickup or drop-off, they have you covered, but prepare to fork out $0.50 per minute past their regular hours.
Good to the Pups
“Our dog loves going to Park Doggy Daycare. We travel often, and they always do a great job with our dog, and we know she’s taken well care of. Highly recommend, the people that work there are flexible & kind, and good to the pups.”

Can’t Recommend This Place Enough
“Found this gem of a place for our little Gil. He’s definitely shy coming in for the first time but he has warmed up a lot. He gets super excited every time he gets in the car and when we turn to 17 St! And Piper has been amazing with answering all my inquiries and pacifying my anxiety with Gil. Can’t recommend this place enough!”

Canine Kingdom

Address: 12817 52 St NW
Contact Details: +1 780-476-6602
Operating Hours:
- Mon to Fri – 9 am to 7 pm
- Sat – 8 am to 6 pm
- Sun – 10 am to 11 am, 4 pm to 6 pm
Since its debut in 2017, Canine Kingdom has become the go-to haven for pup owners in search of expert training, boarding, grooming, and daycare services.
One highlight factor is their thorough assessment system, which pinpoints the care, attention, and playstyle that each dog requires.
The customer service could definitely use some improvements, though. Clients have expressed concerns about encountering a few rude and unwelcoming staff members, particularly when inquiring about policies.
Walk-ins are also a definite no-go here. You’ll need to book at least 24 hours in advance, and good luck securing a spot since they’re frequently packed to the brim.
On the bright side, their Enriched Dayplay program is a game-changer, though it comes with a higher price tag. Since it puts pups into a smaller group of 4 to 6 dogs, your babies will enjoy special activities, like field trips and massages, alongside longer one-on-one playtime sessions.
Can’t Say Enough Good Things About This Place
“If you’re ever wondering what your dog is doing all day, and if they’re having a good time at daycare, then you need to check out Canine Kingdom. They post regularly throughout the day on Snap Chat, Instagram and Facebook. My 18 month old Siberian Husky just spent the weekend there and had a de-shedding bath upon checkout. She looked absolutely amazing! I cant imagine how much time it took them to make her look like that. The bowtie they put on her was a really nice touch. The staff are always pleasant and the members portal is one of the best and easiest to use that I’ve ever seen. I cant say enough good things about this place.”

The Dog House Day Care

Address: 9705 56 Ave NW
Contact Details: +1 780-436-3647
Operating Hours:
- Mon to Fri – 6:30 am to 6 pm
- Sat – 9 am to 5 pm
Space and extra services are in no short supply at The Dog House Day Care. Managed by a team of experts, this sprawling 12,000 sq ft facility offers daycare and boarding options, enhanced by optional classes for both adults and puppies.
Play sessions are their strong suit too. With both indoor and outdoor play areas, your pup will have plenty of room to romp around, all while being supervised by their knowledgeable and ever-amiable staff.
Additionally, they require your pups to undergo an assessment for safety and tailored service purposes. Sure, it’s not cheap, but it guarantees security and a personalized approach, as evidenced by the well-mannered, always-wagging dogs here.
If we had to complain, it would be about the puppy kindergarten class we attended; the trainer was sidetracked with anecdotes instead of training. Not using a microphone was also a bad move, as it made listening a real challenge.
Communicated Extremely Well
“TDH saved us and our dogs, literally. We were out of country on vacation when we received a text saying the kennel our dogs were at was “closing down” before our return date. TDC had compassion for our story and took our dogs in. They communicated extremely well and took wonderful care of our dogs. They have earned all of our future kennel and daycare needs. This is clearly a business of animal lovers so trust they will take amazing care of yours!”

Great Time
“Our 5-month old Puppy had a great time on his very first day of socialization. He is always freaking out when he sees other dogs, but when we join the session it was not bad at all. We definitely be going there twice a week and might consider taking a class. Weldone!”

Paws at Play Dog Daycare

Address: 3808 97 St NW
Contact Details: +1 780-953-7297
Operating Hours:
- Mon to Fri – 7 am to 6 pm
- Sat – 9 am to 5 pm
Paws at Play Dog is a top-tier spot for fur parents looking to save a buck. Prices here are some of the most budget-friendly on this list—without compromising on quality care, of course.
Their team also specializes in working with rescue dogs, so you can expect positive reinforcement-based and fear/force-free training sessions. Furthermore, they ensure your dog’s safety and engagement by grouping them based on size, play style, and confidence levels.
The daycare’s “soft start” method works wonders for pets who aren’t keen on socializing. It’s a slow and steady process where your dog plays with a few friends at first, gradually adding more playmates as their confidence grows.
A major downside is that the daycare only accepts fixed dogs, regardless of size or history. Additionally, they require dogs with anxiety to be on medication, a bummer for owners who believe meds aren’t always the answer.
Amazing with the Animals
“We love it here. Everyone is so amazing with the animals. You walk in and are greeted with a smile and they dote on every dog thst comes through the door. Fast service dropping off and picking up. Our Finnigan loves to go to daycare and he just finished 8 nights of boarding and he did amazing. You could tell he was a happy boy and had been well taken care of. They gave him a bath and a brush before coming home and he looks great! I highly recommend coming to Paws at Play!”
