The one thing they all rely on is the old but dependable stove we’ve had since my childhood. My mom still uses it, and although it’s seen its fair share of meals, it runs like a dream, thanks to the reliable repair services she’s trusted over the years.

Erik Appliance Repair has been a go-to for stove repairs for over ten years. Despite being a small team, they work efficiently, completing most repairs quickly.

What really impressed me was Erik’s precise and fast diagnosis. Our stove was acting up, but he found the issue right away and fixed it with minimal tweaks. Without him, we likely would have bought a new stove, so he saved us a lot of money.

Even though he primarily works solo, we were able to book an appointment just a few days ahead. He arrived on time and finished everything within 2–3 hours.

Erik repairs stoves of all major brands, both residential and commercial. If parts or major repairs are needed, he may take an extra day or two to source them, but he’s always upfront about timelines.

While Erik can be a bit hard to reach by phone, he’s thorough and honest when answering questions, making him reliable for any appliance issues.

Pros

  • Over 10 years of experience
  • Quick diagnosis and repairs

Cons

  • Small team
  • Late responses

Incredibly knowledgeable technician

“Our machine was hard to troubleshoot; Erik was very fair and honest with his time and assessment. Calls were answered or returned quickly, he was prompt to come. We felt comfortable with him in our home. We trust Erik and will work with him again.”

“Prompt, Professional, Knowledgeable and super friendly.

Erik did a great job in providing excellent, service. Arrived an hour earlier than originally planned, did the job in what probably would have taken me several hours, in less then an hour.”

For my mom, GoTech Appliance Repair Edmonton is a lifesaver whenever her stove acts up. With over 40 years of expertise, they’ve become her go-to for quick, reliable fixes that keep her kitchen running smoothly.

She loves how accommodating they are—open every day, making it easy to fit a repair into her week without hassle.

She’s especially grateful for their same-day service, which has saved the day on more than one occasion. And without fail, the technicians show up right on time, which she really appreciates.

There are a few things she’s learned along the way: GoTech specialises in certain stove brands, so she always checks if they cover hers. They also don’t install customer-supplied parts, which she learned the hard way!

Their parts and labour come with a one-year warranty, but there’s a standard service fee for each visit. I always remind my mom about it to avoid any complaints!

Pros

  • Offers same-day service
  • Responsive

Cons

  • Limited brand coverage
  • Additional charges

Outstanding stove repair job

“We have used John @ GoTech for several years now. He has worked on our stove, fridge and now dishwasher, all with great success. Very efficient, friendly, and cleans up well after the jobs done! Will definitely ask for him again!

Great attention to detail

“Great service! My burner on my stove broke yesterday and I called GoTech the next day in the morning. They had a technician come over on the same day in a few hours! Very friendly staff and the tech John did the work really fast and found the problem right away. They got my stove going in no time. Very reasonable price for the service. I will call GoTech again for any other appliance issues. Thank you!”

If you have an older stove that you’re not quite ready to part with, Appliance All Service is the perfect partner to keep it running smoothly.

My brother was attached to his college-era stove and didn’t want to let it go. So, when it conked out, he quickly reached out to this company for help.

Given its age, finding replacement parts can be a challenge—often discontinued or hard to track down. Fortunately, Appliance All Service is experienced with older units and was able to locate the necessary parts in no time.

They offered my brother fair rates, especially considering the extra effort required to source those hard-to-find components.

However, scheduling was a bit of a hassle; their weekend service is limited, and since that was my brother’s only free time, he had to take off work just to get his stove back in action.

Pros

  • Best for older units
  • Reasonable rates

Cons

  • Early cut-off on weekends

Reasonable and reliable

“When our oven stopped heating evenly, we contacted Appliance All Service for repairs. The technician was knowledgeable and friendly, quickly identifying a faulty thermostat. He replaced it efficiently, and now our oven works perfectly. The repair cost was reasonable, and the service was top-notch. Appliance All Service’s professionalism and expertise have made us loyal customers. We’ll definitely call them for any future appliance issues.”

Easy to work with

“I had a fantastic experience purchasing a refurbished stove from Appliance All Service. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and helped me find the perfect stove for my kitchen. They patiently answered all my questions and provided valuable insights into the different models available. The delivery was prompt, and the installation was handled with care. The stove looks and functions like new, and I’m thrilled with my purchase. Appliance All Service has earned my loyalty, and I’ll be turning to them for all my future appliance needs.”

While Maysfield is best known for its appliance retail, they also provide dependable stove repair services that I’ve come to appreciate. Founded in 1978, their extensive experience shines through in their work.

I’ve had nothing but great luck with their talented technicians, who seem to have a sixth sense for fixing stoves of all brands.

It’s comforting to know that any replacement parts come with a three-month warranty—because nothing says “quality assurance” like a guarantee that outlasts my last batch of burnt cookies!

Just a heads up: their services come with a price tag that might make your wallet do a double-take! They charge over $50 for every half hour of labour, so those repairs can pile up faster than the dishes after a big dinner.

And don’t forget the $99 call-out fee. Just plan your budget wisely, and you’ll be in expert hands (and possibly in need of a small loan)!

Pros

  • In the business since 1978
  • Offers 3 months warranty

Cons

  • Pricey
  • Charges per half-hour

Delivers top-quality service

“Jennifer helped me with my inquiry on the stove knob part. She was so helpful and communication very clear making sure they had the right part I was looking for.

Excellent service. I will definitely be making this store my first stop going forward.”

Raquel Elcock, Google Review

Great service and communication

“The service from Maysfield was excellent. Our fridge had stopped cooling because ice had built up through the drain and prevented the fan from working. The repair tech who came to the house quickly identified and solved the issue. He then answered a few questions I had about other appliances in the house and gave me good tips for maintaining the fridge. I thought I was going to have to replace the fridge but now working perfectly. Very happy with the service.”

If you know someone dealing with a stubborn stove, they should consider Dial An Applianceman. With one of the largest inventories of stove parts in the city, thanks to their partnership with Appliance Kingdom, they help homeowners like my aunt restore their kitchens.

When her stove refused to heat evenly, making it feel like she was cooking over a campfire, Dial An Applianceman quickly resolved the issue, addressing everything from troublesome burners to quirky ovens.

However, scheduling appointments can be tricky, so my aunt had to call at least two days in advance. She appreciates their commitment to quality, using only brand-new parts from reputable suppliers, along with liability insurance for select brands and parts.

Fortunately, their $2 million liability insurance covered her stove, and the necessary parts were readily available. Now her stove is as good as new, allowing her to cook without any more kitchen drama!

Pros

  • Only uses brand-new parts
  • Has a large appliance parts inventory

Cons

  • Scheduling issues
  • Limited insurance coverage

Honest work

“What an amazing experience. Every aspect was excellent. Clear communication regarding what was happening and what steps were coming next, next day service after calling to start the process, upfront and clearly explained costs, prompt, friendly, polite.

While repairing my two non functional stove burners the repairman, Pan, found a unrelated problem and took the initiative to fix it.”

Joel Halliday, Google Review

Confident and accurate diagnoses

“I would highly recommend Dial an Applianceman. My gas stove needed a new valve when the oven quit working. The technician (Rod) diagnosed it with confidence, ordered the part, and got it working flawlessly. All with great service and an affordable price. I was impressed This kind of work is a big specialty so to find such great tradesmen is rare.”
