I used to never pay attention to my gutters. I used to think that since they were outside, they wouldn’t cause too much harm to the house’s structural integrity. It turns out I was wrong—oh, so wrong.
Only a few months ago, we experienced leakage inside the house due to a broken gutter. The repairman told us that if we hadn’t called him sooner, we would’ve had severe mould growth, water damage both inside and outside, and structural damage. Just imagine how much that would’ve cost!
Since then, I’ve been a “please pay attention to your gutters” advocate, and I asked my friends and family for their gutter repair company recommendations. These are their answers, as well as their explanation as to why they chose these companies.

Heights Residential is the one I went to when I needed help with my damaged gutters, and I was impressed with their service. I was also kind of surprised; I’d only booked them for window cleaning before, and I didn’t know they did gutter cleaning as well.
What I like about this company is that they respond pretty fast. In fact, I was able to book them on short notice, which helped soothe my anxiety. Once they figured out the root of the issue, they jumped right to work, and before I knew it, they were done, and my worries were no more.
Heights Residential’s prices are also reasonable. I expected to pay a high fee, especially since it was on short notice, but to my surprise, their final price was a lot less than I thought.
Oh, and they also promised that if I wasn’t thrilled with the results, they’d come back to make it right—at no additional cost. I didn’t have to do this because I was already satisfied with their work, but it’s nice to know I have that option.
The only downside is that they specialize in small repairs. In other words, they can deal with simple issues. If your gutter problem is much more complex than just loose spikes, a damaged downspout, or leaking, then you’re better off going to a different company.

And they don’t just serve Edmonton; they also fix gutters in St. Albert, Spruce Grove, Leduc, and Sherwood Park. The fact that their clientele is spread across different neighbourhoods is proof to us that workmanship is stellar.
I love that you don’t need to book a face-to-face meeting just to discuss your issues. Instead, you can just fill out their form online, which lets you explain in depth what the problem is. You can even attach photos to help illustrate your concern. It’s so convenient!
Once you send the form, the response is prompt, usually about a day or so—if you’re lucky, you can get a reply in just a few hours. In their response, they’ll let you share possible solutions and your estimated cost. If they think the problem is too complex, someone might come to your house and inspect the damage themselves.
When it’s time to do the repairs, the team is prompt and professional. It doesn’t take them a long time, and once they’re finished, they make sure to clean up. The former clients I interviewed said that they really appreciated that gesture.

Considering that this company serves several neighbourhoods, there are moments when it’s hard to get ahold of them. It can be annoying, especially when you need urgent help, but other than that, it’s not too much of a problem.

He came and assessed before starting and then kept us informed during the install and provided overall feedback on how we wanted our down spouts. Before asking for gutter repair company recommendations from my close circle, I’d never heard of The Guttermen. It’s a small business, after all. I was a bit surprised—in a good way—when a good number of my trusted friends and family members recommended it.
One thing that my friends and family love about this company is that they offer a wide range of services. Aside from gutter repair, they also offer gutter maintenance and replacement, as well as roofing and window washing. They even take on commercial clients, too!
If you’re not sure how much the repair will cost, you can book an appointment with the team, and they’ll come to your house to inspect the damage themselves. This consultation to get a quote is free, so no need to worry about committing yourself to this company.
However, a friend has one complaint about The Guttermen. He said that sometimes, it was hard to get ahold of them; they don’t respond fast to calls or emails.
He’s not too bothered by it because he knows this business is small, so they’re probably struggling with the number of clients they have. Plus, they do get back to you, eventually, so there’s that. But it’s worth noting all the same.

Technically, The Gutter Doctor is based in Calgary, a city a few hours away, but they do serve several towns and cities, including Edmonton. Considering the high praises I’ve heard about this company, I thought I might as well recommend it here.
According to their former clients, the main thing that they like about The Gutter Doctor is how thorough the workers are.
Instead of just fixing the obvious issue, the repairmen here also make sure to check that the gutter system is working efficiently. They examine the other parts to ensure that you won’t have to deal with more issues in the future.
They can even fix your house’s fascia, soffit, siding, and roof if the damage has reached them. Talk about convenient!
A family member also shared that their workmanship and the qualities they use are top-notch. They’ve only had to book a gutter repair service once, and almost a decade later, their gutters still look and operate as good as new. That’s impressive!

Gutter Dunn Eavestroughing has been around since 2007, and since then, they’ve built a strong portfolio of satisfied clients. So, I wasn’t that shocked when I learned that it’s one of the highly recommended gutter repair companies out there.
The repairmen here are quick and efficient and have great attention to detail. During the initial assessment, their eyes are quick to spot the issue and other possible issues that the homeowner hasn’t noticed before.
Gutter repair is their most popular service, but they also offer gutter replacement, especially if the gutters are damaged beyond repair.
They use aluminum gutters, which are strong and durable; they can block the sun’s UV rays, and they don’t rust as well. The former clients I talked to all vouch for the high quality of their gutters.
Gutter Dunn Eavestroughing also offers other services, such as gutter guard installation and soffit and fascia installation. They cater to commercial clients as well, so if you’re a business with a gutter issue, you can rejoice!
I have to note, though, that this company’s main office is located in a somewhat remote area, making travelling to it tricky. So, keep that in mind just in case.
