I recently went to Shadow Box Studios, which has a bright and spacious setting for different types of photography, from family portraits to business shoots.
They offer several packages, like a one-hour session for about $471, which includes five edited photos. There’s also a 30-minute mini-session for around $314 that comes with two edited pictures. It’s nice to have options that fit different budgets and needs.
One thing I liked was the variety of backgrounds and lighting setups, which allowed for creative shots. The staff was also friendly and helpful, making it easier to relax during the session.
However, the costs can add up quickly if you want extra images or prints. Additional edited photos cost about $65 each.

My experience with Shadow Box Studios in Edmonton was exceptional; their quality is above and beyond. Booking with them took no time at all and the prices were quite reasonable.
I could tell from photographs that it was a lovely location, and though the outside is unassuming, their space is perfect. It is wide open, clean, diverse, and intuitive. It was set up to be effective and useful, and it shows. When I arrived, everything was as described. Set up was quick and easy because things were already in place. There was the cutest set-up for my models to prepare at, and lots of good workstations that could also double as props in the shooting area. There was a welcoming note inviting us to use the space and clear easy instructions. Everything you could need was there: a mini fridge with water was provided, lots of space, lots of outlets for your devices. They even left a Starbucks gift card in thanks, something I did not expect but so nice on a long day to have a coffee paid for!
The little touches really sold me on this studio. From the gift card, to a personalized welcome on the door, and even Scotts availability by text to answer questions and trouble shoot – none of this was expected but it demonstrated incredible customer care.
If you have any doubts, throw them away, because this is a wonderful studio that will live up to your expectations.”

“I’ve booked this studio twice now for family pics, it is perfect! Viewing the calendar and booking online is easy and the owners replied to my questions right away. The space is big and bright with lots of great props and backgrounds. Big enough for the kids to play on one side while taking photos on the other side, and for group shots of all 12 of us. There is a washroom, mini fridge, and lots of chairs, so no worries about breaks and snacks.”

Fun, self-guided photography experience
“My significant other and I came here for our anniversary as we wanted to do some photos to celebrate, but didn’t want to make a big deal and find a photographer. We wanted to be the photographer!
We had a lot of fun at this self portrait studio! It is an awesome place for introverts to take their photos of themselves and loved ones. Note that you will be holding a remote to take the picture. There is no timer/count down setting so you can make do without a remote. The place is clean and very professional. Pricing isn’t too bad either. At the moment, they only provide half body in color and full body in black and white.”

“Beautiful studio that myself and friends rented out. We found the studio a bit small for a group shoot but we highly recommend for solo and duo shoots. However considering the space, the owners did a great job of decorating and the limited time floral installation was such a highlight. Owners kept in great communication with us when we rented. We had a few minor setbacks such as ripped backdrop paper however the owners were quick to address the issue and kindly showed clients how to refresh the paper on their socials if that is the case for your booking.
